I definitely understand that, and I’ll say you’ve done an amazing job so far with what you’ve created. I’m not knocking your work as much as hoping to improve it. If the choices are not important, that’s fair, but I believe as a person who plays rather obsessively to see what branches can be done that if a Dev doesn’t make certain contextual choices clear; like what path can be taken for the Piety route, and Ambition etc somewhere – even if it’s stuck in a tutorial section that most may never bother reading – it will definitely lead to those “eleven playthroughs.” Or more. Very likely a lot more frustration than you intend. A suggestion would also be to mark what the various vases do as well as any important enough items – as the pagan vase does seem like it could be a clever way to get around the Paetron rules as far as incest goes, and appeal to that fanbase. I’d also point out that most did not have means to buy a horse or travel far, so the lewdness stat (in deference to the fact this is an adult game and sex is kind of one of the major points to playing) does not have to be negative. If your MC wants a harem and takes a certain route while pleasing most of the girls they focus on, that should be possible. Provided they are located far enough away, and with the excuse of having to travel often to oversee etc. It’s probably viable in current form as well, but I’m putting that out as only an idea. You make some good points, but I have a different opinion about the dialogue choices problems and the saving before making those decisions: The game is of the different nature than VNs. No saving to check what’s the better choice; You don’t know how the other person will reacts… Until you know because you’re on your eleventh playthru. And is meant to be played in different playthrus to achieve very different objectives; Game branches wildly (Only two examples in the current game that yet have to show more consequences);

And even if I’m a bit perverse when the MC is lashed out by innocently saying the incorrect thing, usually those choices are not important. Choices are usually marked with clear symbols, and important decisions (Like starting a relation or breaking with someone) is very specifically pointed.

In this vein, half the dialogue choices in the game are mostly just for building up Cardinal Stats (that 90% of the time show you in the symbol what is going to happen). Of course in its current 7 hours of gameplay, that now is irrelevant, for two reasons:
1. Main Story barely started/Main Girls not available yet for romance.
2. Game was never intended to be released in parts, but direct to Steam in complete form. But after 10 months of work I found out that the branching aspect of the game was impossible to make (without being a broken mess) without hundreds of beta testers, so I finally stepped in to the light.

That means that while I finish Chapter 2, I’ll be restructuring many things of how the game work in order to adapt it to periodic releases, so yes, that’s a good reason of a lot of little annoyances a player can find.
